A Brand-New Space Designed for Little Explorers
Big White’s Kids’ Centre expansion continues this winter with a brand-new Tot Town Daycare, a bright and playful environment built especially for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
Located right next to the Kids’ Centre, the new Tot Town makes family logistics easy, offering a single drop-off point for parents with multiple kids in different programs — just steps from the on-mountain shuttle stop.
Inside, the new daycare is as imaginative as it is comfortable:
- A creative play area for crafts, colouring, and sensory fun
- Playhouses and a mini roadway for imaginative adventures
- A quiet reading nook under a “story tree” for rest and story time
- A nap room and child-sized amenities designed for comfort and independence
- Fresh, nutritious meals and snacks prepared daily in the Kids’ Centre kitchen

Healthy Meals Made Fresh
All meals and snacks are prepared onsite and follow Canadian Food Guide standards.

- Lunch: rotating favourites like soups, sandwiches, pasta, noodles, or pizza
- Afternoon treat: a small sweet surprise to finish the day
Tot Town is a 100% nut-free facility, and the team happily accommodates most dietary needs — just another example of Big White’s thoughtful approach to family care.
What to Pack
To make mornings easy, Big White provides a clear checklist so you can pack confidently. Bring a labelled bag with:
- Outdoor gear: jacket, snow pants, gloves/mittens, hat, and winter boots
- Spare indoor clothes: shirt, pants, underwear, socks
- Diapers, wipes, bottles, and milk (if applicable)
- A comfort item like a small blanket or soft toy
- Any specialty food items (nut-free only)
For LMVR guests, all of our homes, from The Aspens, South Point, or The Timbers, feature full laundry facilities, perfect for drying out snow gear or prepping a fresh outfit for daycare the next morning.
A Typical Day at Tot Town
Here’s what a day looks like for Big White’s smallest adventurers:
8:30am – Drop-off & Daycare Plus private lessons begin
9:20am – Group lesson participants escorted to the Kids’ Centre
9:20–10:30am – Indoor sensory play & morning crafts
10:30am – Morning snack
11:00–11:45am – Dancing, dress-up, and imaginative play
11:45am – Morning pick-up & group lesson return
12:00pm – Lunch
12:45pm – Afternoon group lessons depart
1:00–3:15pm – Nap time or outdoor play (weather permitting)
3:15pm – Afternoon snack
3:45–4:00pm – End-of-day play & pick-up
After pick-up, many LMVR families love taking the gondola down to Happy Valley for a post-ski treat or skating session — just steps from several of our luxury rentals.

- As a BC-licensed Occasional Childcare Centre, attendance is limited to 40 hours within any 30-day period per child (lessons excluded).
