Returning for the 2025/26 Ski Season!
One of the best ways to discover Big White Ski Resort is alongside the locals who know it best. Each winter, Big White’s Snow Hosts — the friendly yellow-jacketed volunteers you’ll spot around the Village — lead complimentary guided mountain tours to help guests find the best ski and snowboard terrain on the hill.
What Are Snow Host Tours?
Snow Host tours are led by passionate local volunteers who share their insider knowledge of Big White’s trails, terrain, and hidden gems. These tours are ideal for guests who are comfortable skiing or riding green and blue runs and want to explore the mountain with a friendly, experienced guide.
When the program resumes next season, tours will:
- Meet at 10:15am at the Snow Host Meeting Place — in front of The Woods, across from the Village Centre Mall
- Depart at 10:30am and run for about 90 minutes
- Be free of charge with a valid lift ticket or season pass
- Be grouped by ability, mixing skiers and snowboarders of similar levels
No booking is required — simply show up ready to ride.

Know Before You Go
- Participants should be confident on green and blue terrain.
- Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Tours may be cancelled during extreme weather — check with the Activities Desk.
- The experience is not a private lesson, but a fun and social orientation of the resort.

Once Snow Host tours return, plan to join one early in your stay — you’ll pick up great tips on which runs lead directly to your Luxury Mountain Vacation Rentals property.
