Throughout the season we host a ton of staff events, including a truly Canadian experience of harvesting an Xmas tree and tree decoration staff party, a day trip to Apex Ski Resort, team scavenger hunt on the mountain, night tubing & ice skating staff events, ski touring the resort with the boss to show you the coolest spots, a few hosted LMVR staff parties, trips to town for nights out bowling or going to a hockey game, end of season rock climbing, wine & beer tasting and celebratory dinner to wrap up the season. Did I mention we pay for your season’s pass? We take great pride in ensuring our staff have an amazing experience for their season here at Big White. No other employer even comes close! Oh, in the 2024-2025 season 9 of our staff (around 75%!) hit the coveted 100 days of skiing/boarding in a season! We work hard, play hard and reward you for your being part of our team. The balance between work and play was perfect, and the manageable workload allowed me to ski over 100 days—something I never thought possible! I genuinely enjoyed the work and everything it involved, and I loved that we never had to miss out on a powder day.

Right off the bat the communication is there from the moment you are hired. There wasn’t ever a time where I was unsure of anything, I knew what to expect and what was expected of me. The training we received was high quality and made you feel confident in the job. They make you feel welcomed and part of the family straight away with parties, trips and staff days or activities. They drive us to and from work and even pick up our grocery orders from town which is a MASSIVE help! Overall I’ve really enjoyed my season and would recommend it to anyone wanting to join the best cleaning team on the mountain!!!”

The incredible leadership within LMVR is unparalleled. Never before have i had such a wonderful work team. A perfect balance between work and play especially at such a beautiful location. Working away from home is not always easy but Sean, Lana and Raquel quickly became people I trusted and they made it feel like home. Team events were always a blast, and the consistency at which LMVR checks in with their staff is amazing. I always felt like I was treated above and beyond just an employee.”

“I’ve had a great time working for LMVR the last season. They were very welcoming to me and I instantly felt welcomed into the team. The workload is easily manageable and you still have time to ski/ board every day (as long as you don’t mind early starts!)
They train you well and I found the job easy and enjoyable once I got into the swing of things. But the real benefit of the job is all of the food and drink you get to keep, I barely had to shop all season!
Big white and LMVR felt like a home away from home and if I ever want to do another season they will be the first company I ask for a job.”

“I had a fantastic winter working at Big White for LMVR! Sean, Lana & Raquel were great bosses to work for, and the whole team got on amazingly! We had lots of staff events and outings throughout the season to get the team bonding outside of work, such as scavenger hunts on the mountain and pizza & hot tub nights. Big White itself is the perfect mountain – lots of varied terrain for skiing and snowboarding, lots of lifts and no queues! Thanks for an awesome winter LMVR! See you next year!”
